Partnership with Bank of Ireland will support DM Financial’s global expansion ambitions.

Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking has provided senior debt facilities to support the continued growth of DM Financial, which is backed by Synova, a leading private equity operator in Europe.

IBI Corporate Finance acted as advisors with the team led by David Lyons.

“The partnership with Bank of Ireland will support our continued strategy of expanding globally; we are excited to be working together on the opportunities ahead”

DM Financial is a specialist advisory services provider to the global asset management sector. The company has a blue-chip customer book including a mix of regulated Private Equity, Property, Infrastructure and Closed Ended Funds.

M&A growth

Synova’s investment in 2021 has supported DM’s growth trajectory and cemented its leading provider status. The company successfully completed the acquisition of Solutional, a Dutch funds service provider, in 2022. Synova will also provide further support as the business continues upon its acquisition strategy.

“We are delighted to establish a new relationship with DM and support Synova with its investment,” explained Peter Davy, director at Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking.

“Both are fantastic businesses, and we are looking forward to supporting them into the future with their growth and investment plans.”

Sunil Jain, partner at Synova, said the firm is encouraged by the highly impressive organic growth that DM has generated over the past two years led by a dynamic leadership team.

“The partnership with Bank of Ireland will support our continued strategy of expanding globally; we are excited to be working together on the opportunities ahead.”

DM Financial CEO Ian Doran added: “Our success to date servicing some of the world’s largest global investment managers and fund administrators is down to the expertise, hard work, and dedication of our team. We are seeing a number of opportunities and are thrilled to be working with supportive and innovative partners as DM continues to evolve and expand.”
