Conaty continues to experience strong growth from its diverse client base.
The acquisition of Irish Distributors Ltd by Conaty Food & Catering Supplies for an undisclosed sum is envisaged to bring the company’s revenues to in excess of €50m, Conaty’s owners have said.
The deal is the latest growth milestone for Conaty’s, having recently launched Ireland’s largest hospitality showrooms in their Dublin depot.
“Having tripled our revenues over the past five years and now set to hit €50m in 2025, Conaty’s is on the acquisition trail”
With company revenues set to exceed €50m this year, Conaty’s is now exploring additional acquisition opportunities as it seeks to further solidify its leadership position in the hospitality sector, with a focus on foodservice and hygiene companies in the Leinster region as potential takeover targets.
A moveable feast
In a deal completed by Grant Thornton, CEO Cathal Conaty said the acquisition of Irish Distributors is an extremely exciting time for his business.
“Having tripled our revenues over the past five years and now set to hit €50m in 2025, Conaty’s is on the acquisition trail,” Conaty said.
“The deal for Irish Distributors Ltd marks a new phase for the company as we further diversify our offering and build on our relationships with our customer base of 3,000 businesses across the hospitality sector. We are currently exploring further acquisitions, have several significant online projects currently underway and plans to open a new distribution centre in the near future.”
Established in 1970, Conaty Food & Catering Supplies is a family-owned business with depots located in Blanchardstown and Navan.
With over 3,000 customers, Conaty’s supplies all the latest trending products into the Irish hospitality industry across their ranges of Foodservice, Tableware, Glassware, Barware, Takeaway Packaging and Hygiene products. Conaty’s has been quick to capitalise on the latest trends in the sector such as takeaway packaging as more hospitality businesses tap into online delivery services.
Having recently launched Ireland’s largest hospitality showrooms in their Dublin depot, the firm continues to see strong growth from its diverse client base ranging from newly formed cafes and restaurants to established 5* hotels such as Adare Manor, Carton House and the K Club.
Conaty said the deal to acquire Irish Distributors Ltd will primarily strengthen Conaty’s Hygiene offering, an area which has seen large growth particularly following the Covid-19 pandemic.
