The company’s focus is to preserve energy and prevent the depletion of natural resources to protect future generations with high quality, affordable solar systems.
PVGEN is leading the charge in a growing space for the Irish electricity sector.
In recent weeks the Irish Government has approved amendments to the existing Non-Domestic Microgeneration Scheme, operated by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), to extend supports to a wider range of businesses and non-domestic applicants.
Grants of up to €162,500 to businesses and organisations to install rooftop solar panels are to become available.
Conor Magee, head of manufacturing, Bank of Ireland, explained: “Electricity consumption in Ireland represents about 15% of our carbon emissions and must be reduced to just 3% by 2030.
PVGEN are a leading player in the PV Solar space and a key enabler in reaching this green target. Bank of Ireland are delighted to support PVGEN as they roll out high quality solar energy solutions across domestic and business users nationwide.”
The business is a registered member of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, a Safe Electric registered electrical contractor and is a member of the Irish Solar Energy Association and the Micro Renewable Energy Federation. It has also attained ISO 9001:2015 certification.
PVGEN has an impressive clientele including Tirlán, AMS, Elvery’s Sports, the Irish Defence Forces, PepsiCo, various global digital leaders, schools, and universities.
For example, PVGEN recently secured the contract to supply, design, install and commission a Megawatt PV system for market leader AMS – Architectural & Metal Systems building in Co Cork. This megawatt system will supply up to 20% of their annual electricity needs, reducing their operational costs significantly. This is phase one in helping AMS decarbonise their business, PVGEN hope to roll out further panel installations for the business once they expand their premises.
Charlie Cooney, business manager, Bank of Ireland Business Banking said “Bank of Ireland are delighted to continue to support PVGEN in providing appropriate financing to achieve their key strategic objectives. We look forward to deepening our relationship and wish PVGEN continued success in the future.”
