Into the Lion’s Den: Food and drinks start-ups can win €6k prize

Promising food and beverage businesses from the Dublin region are urged to compete to win a €6k prize package in a pitch competition.

Promising food and beverage businesses from the Dublin region are urged to compete to win a €6k prize package in a pitch competition.

The Lion’s Den competition, now in its seventh year, offers Dublin’s start-up food and beverage producers the chance to pitch their products and win a €6,000 prize package.

This includes a €5,000 agency spend with Bradley: The Brand Agency and €1,000 in digital ad spend. The event is organised in collaboration with Dublin Food Chain, and applications are open until 2 August 2023.

Dublin Food Chain is a partnership between the four Dublin Local Enterprise Offices, Bord Bia and the Irish Exporters Association.

Brand development

Bradley: The Brand Agency, is renowned for its expertise in brand development for Irish SMEs and family-owned businesses.

The firm is currently accepting applications until 2 August, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will have the unique opportunity to pitch their products live on stage to a panel of “Lions” – industry experts and successful entrepreneurs – as well as an audience. The event will be held on Wednesday 25 September, 2024, in Dublin.

To be eligible, applicants must be owner-led businesses based in Dublin with a viable food or beverage-related product. Products must have been trading for between one and three years, and applicants must be available to present in person on stage on 25 September.
