Viatel delivers 1,000th SIRO fibre connection to Intersport Elverys.
Viatel Technology Group and SIRO have reached a significant milestone in their partnership, with Viatel delivering its 1,000th enterprise connection on SIRO’s 100% fibre network.
The landmark connection was delivered to Intersport Elverys, Ireland’s largest sports retailer, which operates 44 stores nationwide and a growing e-commerce platform.

A sporting connection
Elverys will use the high-speed connectivity to support its ongoing investment in online presence, store portfolio, and warehouse automation. The deployment began with upgrading connectivity at the retailer’s headquarters and distribution centre in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

The partnership leverages SIRO’s fibre network, which delivers speeds of up to 2 Gigabits per second for residential customers and up to 10 Gigabits for enterprise customers. The network is now available in every county in Ireland.
